Course Aim
  • To produce an experimental narrative discourse using Stop-motion animation techniques, to promote one of the United Nation`s Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Articulate creative visual storytelling ideas in accordance with an objective set out for the project.
  • To familiarise students with a range of digital media technologies, combining traditional animation principles and contemporary art techniques.

On Completion of this course, the learner will be able to
# Learning Outcome Description
1 Develop a simple animated story idea, concept art and storyboards for Stop-motion production.
2 Apply key principles of traditional animation to characters in a stop-motion animated sequence.
3 Create work in a variety of animation techniques including Hand-drawn, Claymation, Cut-out, Pixilation and other experimental methods.
4 Reflect on development of employability skills and application of technical skills to the project.
