Course Aim

Develop an understanding of renewable energy as environmental necessity and economic opportunity as well as a means to enable sustainable development. The students will be introduced in several alternative energy technologies and will focus on solar and wind power projects analysis and development according to the local and regional market needs.

1 Identify and critically evaluate current development and emerging trends within the field of renewable energy technologies.
2 Design sustainable renewable energy solutions for real world problems which address geographical, environmental and financial constraints.
