Course Aim

The aim of this course is to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding in statistical methods and their applications in engineering, including probability, random variables, and distributions. It develops skills in numerical and graphical techniques, enables informed decision-making, and prepares students to solve engineering problems using statistical methods

1 Demonstrate detailed knowledge and apply statistical methods to solve engineering problems effectively.
2 Use basic and some advanced skills, numerical and graphical techniques to calculate and analyse descriptive statistics.
3 Demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of probability, random variables, probability distributions, and joint probability distributions.
4 Use statistical inference techniques to analyze the data effectively, informed decision-making, and the application of statistical methods across various engineering fields.
