The course enables the student to apply critical knowledge acquired from the BICT degree and gain experience of research-based work practices. It provides the opportunity for the student to extend their learning in a particular research area, understand the practice of research as a profession and prepare for it, develop culture that supports research environments and also prepare them for postgraduate studies. The research experience provides a detailed knowledge and understanding of one or more subject disciplines and skills base that allows career prospects in both academia and industry work-based settings.
