Course Aim

This course aims to provide students with critical knowledge, understanding and application of research methodologies and methods necessary to design, formulate, plan, and manage a research project ethically within the field of international trade and strategy.

1 Demonstrate critical knowledge and understanding of a range of research methods and techniques available to formulate, design and conduct ethical research.
2 Apply specialized research methodologies, research method designs, techniques and processes to a research proposal.
3 Critically analyse extant and relevant literature to inform understanding and develop contemporary research projects in the field of international trade and strategy.
4 Develop a coherent, clear, and thorough research proposal to explore, plan and conduct original research on complex and undefined problems in the field of international trade and strategy.
5 Demonstrate a professional level of oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop sound and coherent arguments to present literature review, research project aims, research questions, hypotheses and methodologies.
6 Operate at a professional level with substantial responsibility for individual research activities during the research process, and in compliance with academic and ethical standards of research practice.
