Course Aim

The aim of this course is to:

  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills to create realistic and visually compelling simulations for film production using 2D and 3D software.
  • Develop an understanding of the physical principles governing motion and interaction, and translate them into dynamic effects within a film environment.
  • Explore various simulation techniques for creating elements like cloth, hair, fluids, fire, and rigid body dynamics in film production.
  • Master the workflow of integrating simulated elements seamlessly with live-action footage or other CG assets.

Students will learn how to create believable visual effects by applying their understanding of physics and mastering the tools used in film production software.
