Students will learn the core principles of set design for CG, covering composition, lighting, mood, and visual storytelling. They'll gain expertise in using 3D modeling software to create virtual sets. The course will delve into techniques for seamlessly extending existing environments with CG elements. This will involve integrating filmed footage with computer-generated backgrounds, buildings, or props to create expansive or fantastical settings. By the end of the course, students should be adept at designing CG sets and skillfully extending them digitally. They'll be able to create believable and visually impressive environments that blend seamlessly with live-action footage.
