The primary objective of this course is to demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes and investigate the heat conversion phenomenon involved in power generation plants for industrial applications. The types, design, operation, and performance of various conventional and non-conventional power plants steam, gas, and diesel power plant, including its design, construction, operation, and performance are covered in this course. Additionally, it covers the fundamentals of nuclear energy and how nuclear power plant’s function. The course also covers the fundamentals of plant economics and the environmental effects of power plants. Students will be involved in this course to acquire technical and business knowledge and skills related to power generating and power station management. Traditional lectures will be combined with various active teaching and assessment techniques such as group discussions, cooperative group problem-solving, quizzes, presentations, etc
