Course Aim

This course develops the theoretical aspects as well as practical algorithms for automatically extracting useful information from image or image sequences. A number of basic image processing concepts are introduced such as digitization, preprocessing, image restoration and segmentation. Standard linear image processing algorithms are discussed as well as some concepts and algorithms for image processing. The students will also be introduced to the current research and the application of Computer Vision in the AI fields.
