Course Aim

The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to contribute new knowledge or solution to the creative field through research and practice. Students will have the opportunity to choose between practice-led research or research-led practice in this course. The final outcome will include both a thesis and a practical project.

1 Demonstrate professional levels of insight, interpretation, originality and creativity, using critical knowledge of a specialised creative field’s processes and techniques for the production of a creative project which contributes to new knowledge and skill in the field.
2 Communicate in depth knowledge of a specialised creative field effectively and appropriately using advanced writing and presentation skills.
3 Apply standard and specialised creative research methods and investigative techniques, as well as the analysis and interpretation of results using appropriate data analysis methods.
