Course Aim

The course aims to provide learners with advanced knowledge and understanding and advanced level of skills and competencies of the methods and techniques in marine civil engineering construction. Learners shall be able to critically evaluate methods and techniques used in construction of marine infrastructures. Learners shall be able to formulate solutions to solve technological problems in marine civil engineering projects.

1 Apply construction methods for a selected marine infrastructure project with due regard to relevant industry standards, health and safety, risk assessment and environmental considerations.
2 Assess the methods and techniques used in the civil engineering construction of selected marine infrastructure project.
3 Evaluate marine civil engineering construction issues and challenges and propose solutions that conforms to standards, environment and sustainability, health and safety and operational concerns.
4 Communicate to peers and experts project findings related to marine civil engineering projects.
