This course introduces fundamental accounting concepts used to produce financial statements for business stakeholders.

1 Demonstrate detailed fundamental knowledge of the nature, uses, purposes and concepts of financial accounting using the underlying conceptual and regulatory frameworks.
2 Demonstrate proficient use of double entry accounting techniques and maintenance of accounting records.
3 Apply appropriate adjustments to accounting records related to a range of financial transactions or situations.
4 Apply the recognition and measurement principles relating to select financial statement accounts and transactions.
5 Prepare, present and interpret financial statements for sole traders.
