Course Aim

To provide engineering students with understanding of principles and concepts of earth system, energy systems, end use technologies to meet energy demands in a sustainable manner and in line with energy policy and politics.

1 Demonstrate a critical knowledge of the principles and concepts underlying earth system, environment and global energy balance.
2 Assess current and potential future energy systems to meet regional and global energy needs in a sustainable manner.
3 Investigate the interaction between environment, energy and policy and debate the contending viewpoints on these issues.
