Course Aim

This course aims to extend students’ skills in the identification, measurement, monitoring analysis and mitigation of risks to supply chains arising from natural and man-made causes. Using experiential learning approaches, it seeks to provide students with critical skills and knowledge for managing supply-chain risk, from strategy to implementation.

1 Evaluate and critique the management of risk in international supply chains against best practice
2 Demonstrate a broad and integrated knowledge of the type and nature of risks that make international supply chains vulnerable
3 Apply risk analysis, simulation and modelling techniques to a selected range of supply chains
Requisites
  • Pre Requisite: TL7000 (or TLB6000) OR BU7201 (BSB6201) + 30 credits at level 7 (courses from the BILM PAD or the Bachelor of Business Management Major) + 15 credits of English (or equivalent)
  • Anti Requisite: TLB7302
