Course Aim

The course provides students with the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the confines of an educational environment. The industry experience in this course provides an enhancement to students' knowledge, skills and improves their career prospects as well. Students are expected to apply critical knowledge and specialist level skills to propose, design and implement solutions for real-world projects in Engineering.

1 Apply the knowledge gained in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology programme to an approved industry project.
2 Propose, adopt and implement the most suitable design for an engineering problem taking into account legal, economic, commercial, safety, environmental and societal context.
3 Adopt a management framework for the design, development and analysis of sustainable engineering system solutions.
4 Propose, plan and apply solutions to an engineering problem adhering to industry codes of practice and standards
5 Demonstrate employability skills required of a work ready graduate.
Requisites
  • Pre Requisite: At least 90 credits at L7 from mandatory B.Eng Tech courses in the student's qualification, EN8913 and (EN8921 or EN8922).
  • Anti Requisite: EN8903 or EN8904 or EN8910 or EN8907
