Course Aim

To develop critical knowledge of theories, and practical skills in the area of industrial and commercial illumination engineering, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

On Completion of this course, the learner will be able to
# Learning Outcome Description
1 Demonstrate critical knowledge of theories, principles and concepts relating to illumination engineering and the design and analysis of qualitative and quantitative artificial lighting designs for indoor and outdoor spaces.
2 Design and analyze,environmentally friendly and sustainable indoor/outdoor artificial lighting/illumination systems, including the use of advanced software packages, to satisfy a client’s specification all in accordance with local/international standards and engineering ethics.
3 Critically analyse a range of light sources in terms of efficacy, cost efficiency and environmental friendliness.
