Course Aim

To provide engineering students with a critical knowledge and understanding of core engineering manufacturing processes and the ability use specialist skills to solve engineering manufacturing challenges.

1 Critically evaluate requirements for engineering prototypes manufacturing, define situations, produce designs and select processes according to industry practice and standards.
2 Demonstrate critical knowledge of, and integrate manufacturing design and processes theories.
3 Apply engineering process principles and management techniques in order to manufacture sustainable, environmental friendly engineering prototypes.
4 Work in groups efficiently taking responsibility and decisions.
5 Make formal presentations and produce engineering reports to communicate engineering designs and manufacturing processes for prototypes.
