Course Aim

• To provide students with detailed knowledge of how to see and use colour in design.
• To broaden students’ visual vocabulary and improve technical expertise in the area of perceptual drawing.
• To explore topics related to thinking and creativity; raising students’ creative consciousness as a positive platform for learning as well as increased awareness of thinking patterns, learning styles and creative attitudes.

1 Demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of how we see colour using the correct terminology
2 Produce examples of colour combinations mixed in varied proportions, and applied in different techniques to illustrate aspects of colour theory
3 Apply drawing methods and techniques for the generation of ideas
4 Illustrate ways and means of collecting, notating and remembering ideas
5 Demonstrate a suitable level of professional practice through attendance, participation and group discussion.
