Course Aim

To provide students with critical knowledge and professional level skills necessary to design and install solar energy systems effectively and efficiently. The course focuses on equipping students with a detailed knowledge of the principles, technologies, and best practices involved in studying, designing and implementing solar energy systems.

1 Demonstrate critical knowledge of solar energy, conversion technologies, and potential applications.
2 Design solar energy systems including site assessment, system sizing, component selection, and integration of various components into a functional system based on industry codes and standards.
3 Produce project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk assessment and effectively manage solar energy projects.
