Course Aim

This course aims to further demonstrate advanced knowledge of database systems, core theories, principles and concepts where such systems fall within an Information Technology infrastructure in an organisation. The course will also expand on database concepts learnt in Database Systems 1 and introduce new database constructs relevant to the workplace.

1 Undertake database administration tasks to deal with defined and undefined database operations and to solve encountered issues.
2 Demonstrate knowledge of advanced SQL and its usage to solve problems and achieve some specialist level skills.
3 Use advanced database programming techniques to plan, organize advanced level programming constructs and formulate solutions.
