To provide the students with detailed knowledge, procedures, methods, and understanding of building construction, including how their foundations are designed and built, how superstructures are constructed, and the effects, issues, and constraints on building construction.

1 Discuss common forms of building construction, methods and techniques, and their implications, issues, and constraints.
2 Produce foundation footing formworks and reinforcement bars for the substructure element using appropriate methods and techniques with health and safety in the workshop.
3 Construct superstructure elements for buildings using appropriate methods and techniques with health and safety in the workshop.
