Course Aim

The course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of the principles and process techniques in civil engineering construction execution. It develops learners to plan and direct construction works. Learners will be guided to solve problems encountered in design and execution, outlining present methodologies and technologies related to construction engineering technology.

1 Produce construction information and documentations to demonstrate understanding of civil engineering construction and technology principles.
2 Assess the different strategies, methodologies, processes and construction technologies used to construct a range of substructures and superstructures, including their function and design selection criteria.
3 Evaluate an identified civil engineering problem and propose solutions that meet the requirements of quality, buildability, performance and Health & Safety.
