Course Aim

The unit aims to enable the learners to develop an advanced level of understanding below ground drainage systems, examine the methods used to treat and dispose sewerage waste, and the processes that are used to produce drinking water.  You will understand how waste water is drained from both buildings and surfaces using below ground drainage systems, including the design, installation and maintenance of these systems. You will examine methods of treating sewerage.  Finally, you will examine sources of drinking water, the methods used to treat water and then the distribution to users.
